Happy to be here
I'm finally live everyone! My website is updated, I have a new webshop, this new blog, and an Etsy shop. I have been working for this moment for months, and dreaming of it for even longer. I hope you guys have had time to have a look around and get a feel for the new diggs. It's just such a relief to have everything done. Now I can focus on promotion, the jewelry, making art (ahhh, that sounds so nice right now) and work. I did get a magazine gig this week which is great to throw in the mix.
So speaking of promotion, I am participating in The Sampler this month. It's related to Etsy. Basically Artist and Crafters send in samples of their work and The Sampler boxes them all up and sends them out to people. They even send the boxes out to press. I am testing the process out this month with 25 postcards. Next month when I have the silver jewelry up I am aiming to get into the media samples. Of course once I went live with everything on Sat. I realized the deadline for the sampler is this Thursday. So I really had to get all my packaging together, fast.
I ended up staying up really late last night putting these packs together. But you know what? I didn't mind a bit. It was like I have been dreaming and waiting for this moment forever. I was so happy cutting out my packaging, gluing the wrap pieces and putting everything together. I even watched an episode of The Office on Brian's laptop in bed and then got back up to finish. That is how happy I am about being in this moment right now.
